Afflicted aerial photograph on the disaster just after the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb

The Nagasaki Atomic Bomb exploded on August 9, 1945, 11:02 am, about 500 meters above 171 Matsuyama-cho, Nagasaki City. This was an aerial photograph of the situation damaged immediately after the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb. The hypocenter "Ground Zero" was about 2.5 km upstream of the Uragami River from the upper left corner of the aerial photograph. At field-battle order No.17, the original aiming point 114016 was on the Nigiwai bridge on the way of Nakashima River. For that purpose, this had been an aerial photograph focusing mainly on the Nagasaki bay area and the aiming point of Nakasaki Atomic Bomb. The periphery of the hypocenter "Ground Zero"  at the upper left corner was completely ashamed in a moment. Nagasaki city was surrounded by mountains in the east and west, while the disaster area completely destroyed the houses reached about 2.5 km south east to Nagasaki Port, extended more than about 2 km of Hiroshima Atomic Bomb. The damage suffered into the semi-rupture ranged from the hypocenter to about 4 km southward.

Color image by Movie of Mushroom Clouds on Nagasaki Atomic Bombing

"Box Car" (V77) dropped "Fat Man" on Natasaki City which photographed the process of generation up to a series of Mushroom clouds by a color movie. The date and aspect had been described as August 9, 1945 at 10:55, and altitude 2438 m. After the fission and explosion with Plotonium, mushroom clouds occurred for a moment while sparks of vermilion or yellow color had been swelled and expanded. The temperature of the fireball sharply rised above the surface of the sun at first, while it was quickly cooled with taking in outside air and forming a mushroom cloud. The power of the explosion was equivalent to 2,200 tons of high-performance of Trinitrotoluene(TNT) equivalent. Radiation emitted by nuclear fission collided with atoms in the air and generated high energy to generate a ascending air currents.

The US military created the Map of the Atomic Bomb Area in Nagasaki City

The US military created the Map of the Atomic Bomb Area in Nagasaki City, which demonstrated the damage situation diagram of the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb. A strategic bombing mission team of the US military created based on the aerial photograph of the Nagasaki City photographed on August 12, 1945 after three days from the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb. The population density was divided into two shades of light and color.  The damage of Atomic Bomb were classified into five exposure collar due to be burned or destroyed - Blue : Completely destroyed, Pink : Completely destroyed and burned, Orange :  Completely burned, Blue-Green : Half Destroyed, Bluish-green Hatching : Fire Break, Purple : Other Area. The distance from the hypocenter (Ground Zero) was shown into concentric circles on each 350m.

Nagasaki City had been added just 2days before Potsdam Declaration on July 26

In July 1945, a satellite image of Nagasaki City had been formulated by combining a number of aerial photographs like a mosaic for a strategy plan to drop the Atomic Bomb. At first, Nagasaki City had been added one of target plans just 2days before Potsdam Declaration on July 26. The standard map No.90.36-546 for the Fat Mann (F31) to Mitsubishi Steel & Arm Works had been planned to be exploded. The point of the fall where was near from Tokiwa to Nigiwai Bridge in the center of Nagasaki City, was designated as No.114601 on the Map. It had shown a bombing zone from 2,5Km north and 1.5Km south. The concentric explosion within a radius of 70,00 feet (2.13 Km) from the center of the Bridges. Aerial photographs had been confidential documents for pilots of Box Car (V-77), bombers and patrols. The center point on August 9 exploded at 171 Matsuyama-cho, about 3.4 Km north-northwest from the bombing plan.

Scientific experiments of Atomic Bomb was also primary goal for final order

One aircraft with photography and video and another with observation recorders accompanied the "Bock's Car" B-29 equipped with the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb. One aircraft was intended to shoot images and videos of atomic bombs. It was the first order of the final order document to install scientific staff for the purpose of observing and recording the power of the atomic bomb. The observation recorder in "Sonde" that was dropped by a parachute just before the Nagasaki atomic bomb dropped was found in Nagasaki city. The Power, explosion pressure, heat temperature, radioactivity, etc. were measured within Sonde. Upon the end of the war, GHQ "general headquarter" immediately collected the Sonde and made the result a top secret material under USA.

"Hypocenter Cenotaph" falling center monument under Nagasaki Atomic Bomb

The Nagasaki Atomic Bomb of "Hypocenter Cenotaph" is standing at the center point of the explosion burst, which is a triangular prism with a height of 6.6 m. It was built in 1968 as the second generation. On August 9, 1945, at 11:02 AM, it exploded in the sky about 500 m above the 171 Matsuyama-cho, Nagasaki City. The temperature at the center reached several million degrees Celsius. Ten thousandths of a second from the explosion, it formed about 300,000 degrees fireball. The fireball became the maximum after 1 second of explosion and expanded to a radius of about 240 m. The temperature of the ground surface of the hypocenter immediately after the explosion reached about 3,000 to 4,000 degrees.

Real Fat Man of plutonium type exploded in Nagasaki City

This was the real Atomic Bomb named Fat Man of plutonium type  exploded in Nagasaki City. The power of the explosion was slightly stronger than Little Boy of uranium type exploded in the Hiroshima City. Trinity experiment of the first atomic bomb in human history used the Atomic Bomb of Fat Man type. Fat Man weight was 4,670 Kg, the total length was 3.66 m, and the explosive power was equivalent to about 22,000 kg of TNT (trinitrotoluene) gunpowder. Many officials signed on the tail of Fat Man to show self-reveals and honors in final World War 2nd.

Second Atomic Bomb exploded in Nagasaki City

The Second Atomic Bomb was dropped in Nagasaki City from the B - 29 of Bocks Car with Fat Man. Nagasaki Atomic Bomb exploded at 11:02 AM August 9th, 1945 on Matsuyama-Machi distant from the target point of Joban Brige. At the moment of explosion it changed from round white clouds to red clouds, then turned into a mushroom-like white cloud. The biggest mushroom cloud rises to an altitude of 10,000 m. A dark mushroom stem cloud secondary rose from its base. Nagasaki Atomic Bomb was recorded for the first time from Bocks Car with 16 mm color film video.
